Harry G. Sutter, CPA
President
Brighton Corporation
Prior to forming Brighton Corporation, Mr. Sutter worked in Chicago, IL in the Corporate Finance section of one of the world's ten largest banks. His responsibilities included analyzing, structuring, and providing acquisition financing for numerous Fortune 1000 size companies across the United States. Mr. Sutter has continued to maintain the professional relationships he developed while performing these activities and today these contacts serve as sources for both sale assignments and acquisition financing.
Additionally, he worked for several years as a tax accountant in Arthur Andersen & Co.'s Chicago office. His responsibilities included working with owners of closely held businesses to provide cost effective solutions to their tax, accounting and general business consulting needs. Many of Brighton's acquisition search assignments come from individuals Mr. Sutter worked with at Arthur Andersen who have since entered private industry and now serve as Financial Officers in companies actively pursuing acquisitions as part of their growth strategy.
Mr. Sutter is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana, Champaign.
He has written several articles and conducted numerous seminars for bankers, attorneys and business owners on the topics of selling and valuing privately owned businesses.
